11th December 2019 Reindeer and Sleigh Visit Our special visit from Prancer and Dasher, the children learnt about what the reindeers may eat, where they live and what they do. The children were also allowed to stroke the reindeers and also sit in Santa's sleigh.
4th December 2019 Beechoak Farm's Children's Christmas Party Children's Christmas Party at Beechoak Farm Montessori Pre-school, all the children enjoyed a fun day. It was full of fun activities from parcel the parcel, musical statues, festive activities and a visit from Father Christmas.

9th & 16th November 2019 In house Paediatric First Aid Training with Emergency First Aid Ltd, Danny Hyde. An amazing session and this reinforces our Millie's Mark Accreditation.
Friday 4th October 2019 Coda Falconry Visit Today we had a visit from Coda Falconry who brought some beautiful birds of prey for us to meet. We were able to hold an American Kestrel and even had the chance to fly a barn owl. The children were very interested in meeting the birds and were happy to place their hand in a glove so they could hold the kestrel and barn owl.
Tuesday 1st October 2019 Tractor and Harvest activities Russ came to visit us to talk about what he does with his tractor. He also spoke about how the farmers go out in to the fields and collect and harvest all the crops that they have been growing over the last year. We spoke about all of the different colours of fruits and vegetables that we need to eat to keep healthy. We then used the vegetables to print using paints this was lots of fun.
Tuesday 5th February 2019 Chinese New Year - Dragon Dance workshop Today we had a Chinese Dragon Dance Workshop , the children were able to listen to the traditional music, dance to the music and also use some of the traditional props. The children listened carefully and followed the instructions from Daisy.
Tuesday 18th September 2018 An African Drumming session Today we had an African Drumming session, the children learnt how the drum was used traditionally and also how it relates to the modern rhythms heard today. We used a variety of different sized drums and they created a largeensemble, it was a fantastic group activity. The children listened carefully and followed the instructions from Raz.
Thursday 30th March 2017 A visit from Waltham Abbey Fire Brigade Today the fire brigade came to nursery to show the children the fire engine and to speak to the children about staying safe and not being scared if they see them helping to put a fire out. The fireman explained the parts of the fire engine and all children has a tour around the outside, all the children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and had an amazing time. Some of us also got to have a go at spraying the hose they use to put out fires before they got a call to go and save someone!
Thursday 30th March 2017 A Race to put on the fireman uniform. The fireman showed us how they get into their uniform before going to stop the fire, a few teachers got to have a race to see who could get it on first, which was really fun to watch and we cheered for them.
March 2017 The weather has turned extremely nice so we have been able to venture up the backfield, we have been taking part in long walks looking for insects and mini beasts. We are looking forward to more visits.

Friday 11th November 2016 Pre School Remembrance Display - Badgers, Foxes and Owls The pre school made a lovely Remembrance Day wall display.
Friday 28th October 2016 Our 20th Birthday at Beechoak Farm We had Mr Marvel come for a magic show, we participated in dancing, we had a foam machine we had a Punch and Judy show and we got to meet Baxter the rabbit. It was a fun filled show. We love Mr Marvel.
Week commencing 17th October Pre-School Barn - Badgers, Foxes and Owls FairyTale week This week was full of fun and fairytale activities from going on a treasure hunt, to going on a fairy walk, we participated in lots of messy play activities, and they dress up as different characters each day.
Thursday 22nd September 2016 Animal Workshop Mobile Zoo Today we had a visit from the Animal Workshop Mobile Zoo. The children met and stroked the following animals: Keema & Dori the Meerkats, Titan & Lula the Tortoises, Sydney the Frog, Puff the Breaded Dragon, Elf the Polecat, Orin the Ferret, Bertie the Hedgehog, Simon the Blue Tongued Skink, Ozzy the King Snake. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and loved to see and stroke the animals.
Thursday 24th March 2016 Easter Egg Hunt Today the children at Beechoak Farm had an Easter egg hunt all children found an egg and got to take in home.
Monday 21st March 2016 Down Syndrome awareness day. We wore our odd socks and this was to spread the word, and break down barriers. At circle time the children have been talking about similarities and differences we share and we have been encouraging them to understand that we all need extra help sometimes.
Friday 18th March 2016 afternoon crafts sessions Parent craft sessions with the Otters, Swans and Ducks. Parents came along for the afternoon and took part in the activities with their children. Activities ranged from free painting, shaving foam play, icing biscuits, making dragon flies and making Easter nests.

Wednesday 10th February 2016 Chinese New Year Today a Chinese Lion came to nursery, the children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and loved watching the lion dance. Afterwards they got to stroke and meet the lion.
Tuesday 9th February 2016 Today the children made pancakes for Pancake Day the children thoroughly enjoyed weighing the ingredients, mixing and then flipping them. Finally the added their favourite topping.
Friday 22nd January 2016 Dressing up day as princess, knights and dragons Today the children were asked to come into nursery dressed up as either a princess, knight or dragon and this was to support our topic of the week.
Thursday 11th June 2015 Our Bug Hotel The Foxes, Badgers, Owls and staff have taken resources up the back field and have made our very own bug hotel. We can not wait to see what we will find on our next visit to Our Bug Hotel.
Wednesday 3rd June 2015 A visit from a Police Officer - Tom Stephenson. He spoke to the children about safety, strangers and his job role. Children enjoyed this visit.
Friday 22nd May 2015 We had a visit today from Lance Corporal Worthington he spoke to the children about his job and all of his responsibilities; being looking after the Queen, protecting our Country and the children got to try on Lance Corporal Worthington hat.
Tuesday 19th May Teddy Bears Picnic The Rabbits, Squirrels and Hedgehogs had their very own tea party, it was full of fun activities from dancing to face painting, drawing and many small bear activities.
Friday 15th May 2015 Sports Day for Ducks, Swans, Foxes and Badgers Children had a fun and fantastic day at Sports day all children did extremely well and participated in the races. Well done to all the children and adults that took part.
Wednesday 6th May 2015 We had a visit from an Eye Surgeon 'Nuha' children got the chance to try on the one eyed glasses, to have a look at the eye test cards; big letters and small ones, reinforeced that we need to look after our eyes and wear sun glasses when it is sunny. The children enjoyed this visit.
Thursday 23rd April 2015 St George's Day Today the children came to nursery dressed as Knights and Princesses, the day was full of fun and exciting activities for all the children to participate in.
Tuesday 7th April 2015 Tristan Epping Forest Marshal Nature Walk at Beechoak Farm Tristan is a Epping forest marshal who helps to look after the forest. He came into Beechoak Farm to take the children on a nature hunt, all the children thoroughly enjoyed this visit.
Thursday 5th March 2015 World Book Day Children came to nursery today dressed as there favourite book character. We also took a walk up the back field and fund the Gruffalo sitting on a log at the top of our back field.
9th March High Beech school have donated some baby chicks; they have named them Sarah and Hollie. Sarah and Hollie are getting to know the children at Beechoak Farm.
Friday 19th December 2014 Christmas Dinner at Beechoak Farm Montessori Pre School all of the children enjoyed Julie's Scrumptious Christmas dinner.

Wednesday 9th July 2014 A visit from Paradise Wildlife Park
On our visit we got to meet Marley the Tenrec he was 5 years old. Marley's spine is on the outside. Skye the Barn Owl was 6 years old and he has sharp talons. Finally we meet Eddy the Breaded Dragon he is also 6 years old. He has his spine down his body and over his face. when he is orange he is warm and happy and if he goes dark he is cold and unhappy.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the visits from Paradise Wildlife Park.
We had a visit from PCSO 73934 Becky Brien a Police Community Support Officer from Epping Forest District, she spoke to the children about safety and the children got to have a look and go in the police car and try on some of her clothing.

A visit from Joseph Ole Tipanko, Maasai Tribe Leader
We were very excited to meet Joseph Ole Tipanko. Joseph is a Maasai tribe leader from the village of Kimuka in Kenya, he showed us the traditional dress and introduced us to the tribal music. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and learnt about Kenya, their life and about the animals.

A visit from Specsavers, all children in the Hedgehogs and Badgers class were able to try on the glasses, children then participated in a catwalk showing off their favourite glasses.

At the end of the new main carpark you will see our new trough has been installed. Originally back in 1877, The Drinking Association supplied and fitted the trough, near Limehouse Church, Tower Hamlet. In 1886, the trough was moved and re-instated near the same position. Limehouse cleaned it in 1899 and finally in 1919, it was moved and erected at Woolwich Church Street. unfortunately last year it was discovered full of rubbish and so was removed by The Drinking Trough Association. We are now the proud owners of this historic trough and it has pride of place in our donkey / ponies field. It has a water fountain incorporated into it, which you may drink from.

Monday 28th October 2013 We invited Mr Marvel along to help us celebrate our 17th Birthday; all children were very well behaved and had a fantastic time.
Friday 25th October 2013 We are now the proud owners of two new Pigmy goats… They are brother and sister and their names are Rosie and Jim (Jim has the white face and body and a little bigger in size). They have been purchased from the same goat farm as Topsy and Tim who are now 5 years of age. We hope that Rosie and Jim will be happy in their new home. Please keep looking for an update on all our animals at Beechoak Farm.
Thursday 24th October 2013 Mrs Eaves completed a music workshop for the Rabbits, Squirrels and then Fawns and Ducklings. They got to join in with actions, singing and playing musical instruments.

19th July 2013 Hedgehogs Food Tasting Activity - all fruit and vegetable tasted were grown in our very own Vegetable Patch. We tasted peas strawberries and radishes. We also got the chance to smell the following fresh herbs; Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme, Sage, Mint and Basil.
7th June 2013 Sports Day An amazing day all of the children did fantastically and parents participated in races too.
