The Pre-school barn consists of 5 class, of our oldest children (3.5 years old to 5).
Routines continue to incorporate structure and routine. Children are building on their self-confidence and social skills in preparation for ‘big school’. Montessori is established at this stage. We are familiar with Practical life which looks at fine manipulative and self help skills. The children then move onto Sensorial which focuses on using our senses and introduces the concept of sizes. |
Letters, numbers and Montessori activities are a huge part of the day within these classes; children are excited to learn, and also enjoy taking part in the set activities.
Within these classes all five areas of Montessori are covered; Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths, Language and Culture. Children are flourishing with the confidence that is needed to participate in these activities |
